About
Teri Hamilton
Hi, my name is Teri! I am a small business owner here in Charlotte. I started my career working with animals in 2005 at a small veterinary clinic in Colorado. As a veterinary assistant, I learned all aspects of how to care for our companion animal's health and wellbeing. After six years at Allbrick Veterinary Clinic, I decided to expand my knowledge by joining the Boulder, Co animal control unit as an officer. During my tenure, I earned state certifications in identifying dog breeds and reading canine body language leading to a greater understanding of human/canine interaction. To create the most positive atmosphere for you and your companion, it is incredibly important to understand how training can go wrong and how to avoid potentially negative situations.
In my experience in both classical and modern techniques, I have found that no one method works for all animals. I believe strongly in adapting to a specific animal's needs and cues and those of each owner. By assessing your unique goals and circumstances, I have found success in adapting my lesson plans to you instead of following a one-size-fits-all routine.
I believe dog training should be accessible to everyone who wishes to grow the relationship and bond they have with their pet. With this in mind, please reach out with as much information as possible so I can start formulating a plan that leads to the stress-free happy life you both deserve!
